Traditional PBX phone equipment was designed for the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) Originally a public network in the world of circuit-switched telephone network, the fixed-line analog telephone systems, although the PSTN is now almost entirely digital, but still running on the concept of fixed phone (in which each telephone conversations is a physical line from point a to point b).
